About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable person to handle packing and shipping for our online gift shop orders. This is a low-hours, flexible-schedule role: perfect for someone who takes pride in getting orders right and out the door on time, and who wants to set their own hours around order deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Pull and pack online orders accurately, ensuring the right items, sizes, and quantities
- Prepare shipping labels and coordinate carrier drop-offs/pickups
- Check orders for damage or quality issues before packing
- Keep packing supplies (boxes, tape, packing materials) stocked and organized
- Update order status/tracking information as orders ship
- Communicate any inventory shortages or fulfillment issues to management
What We're Looking For
- Highly detail-oriented: accuracy matters more than speed here
- Comfortable with basic computer use (order platforms, shipping label software)
- Able to lift and carry packages up to 30–40 lbs
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule to meet shipping deadlines: this role offers flexibility, but reliability is key
- Prior shipping, fulfillment, or retail experience a plus but not required
