Position Summary

The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently. This role involves picking, scanning, packing, and shipping merchandise according to customer invoices while ensuring proper handling, accurate shipping documentation, and organized work areas.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Pick, scan, pack, and ship customer orders according to instructions on invoices
• Verify order accuracy and ensure proper packaging and box measurements
• Use shipping equipment and software to create shipping labels and determine the best shipping method
• Maintain accurate records and logs of outgoing shipments
• Check invoices to confirm correct shipping and handling charges
• Load packages for transportation and prepare shipments for carrier pickup
• Drive company vehicle to the post office or UPS facility for shipment drop-off or pickup when needed
• Restock and organize inventory in shipping and warehouse areas
• Answer calls from the customer service department regarding shipping questions
• Assist with unloading trucks containing incoming shipments or supplies
• Fold boxes and prepare packaging materials for daily shipping operations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist with recycling, trash removal, and general warehouse tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to perform repetitive movements
• Ability to use basic hand tools to handle or repair product when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
