Graphic Designer & Visual Content Specialist for the Web

We are currently seeking a creative, versatile, and visually driven Graphic Designer to join our team.

As a Graphic Designer specializing in web design, UI, and visual storytelling, you will play a pivotal role in creating captivating, user-centric digital and print experiences. You will work on projects ranging from high-converting web interfaces and brand identity development to marketing collateral and digital campaigns.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in modern web design principles, hands-on experience with content management systems (such as WordPress), and mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator). Because visual content is at the heart of our brand, a strong background in photography while not required is a core asset for this role, allowing you to seamlessly bridge the gap between graphic design, brand imagery, and digital layout.

This position requires working at our office in Portage, Michigan. Only candidates willing to work in person full time will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Web & UI Design: Design intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling web interfaces and landing pages that optimize user experience (UX) and drive conversions.
• Brand Identity & Print: Develop cohesive branding assets, including logos, typography systems, color palettes, and comprehensive print collateral.
• Visual & Photographic Integration: Curate, edit, and shoot high-impact visual assets. Utilize advanced photo editing, compositing, and color-grading techniques to ensure all photography aligns flawlessly with web layouts and brand guidelines.
• Content Management: Build, manage, and update client sites or internal web properties using WordPress, integrating custom graphics and photography smoothly into the CMS.

Job Requirements:

• Proven professional experience as a Graphic Designer with a heavy focus on web design and UI/UX.
• Mastery of industry-standard design tools, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. (Experience with Adobe XD is a plus).
• Solid understanding of responsive design, web accessibility standards, grid systems, and layout hierarchy.
• Demonstrated proficiency with WordPress (customization, theme management).
• A photography background is advantageous, though not mandatory would include an understanding of camera mechanics, composition rules, lighting principles (natural and studio), and professional post-processing workflows (Lightroom/Photoshop) .
• A portfolio showcasing a strong eye for typography, color theory, layout, and photographic execution.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
