Blue Door Real Estate Group is seeking a Drafter / Revit Operator to join our planning team.
This is a hands-on role that goes beyond drafting. You will support active residential and commercial renovation projects, assisting with drawing preparation, permit documentation, site coordination, and ongoing project updates.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, who is ready to grow within a real estate company involved in projects from acquisition through renovation and long-term management.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and oversee residential and commercial construction projects.
· Prepare detailed schematics, plans, and specifications using Revit and CAD software.
· Create sets of plans for new construction, additions, and remodels.
· Process permit applications and plan reviews across different cities.
· Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments to ensure project viability.
· Assist with construction takeoffs, budgets, and schedules by reading plans.
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialies to develop the construction process.
· Review project designs for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
· Communicate effectively with clients, city officials, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
· Keep construction software up to date based on daily logs and inspection progress.
Skills
· Proficiency in Revit (mid-level) and CAD software.
· Understanding of mechanical design principles and system design methodologies.
· Ability to create accurate, detailed schematics representing engineering designs.
· Experience with graphic design tools and 2D visualization techniques is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work under pressure.
· Fluent in English and Spanish.
· Good phone and communication skills for coordinating with city officials and stakeholders.
