Job Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new revenue through proactive selling, targeted prospecting, and strategic expansion of assigned accounts. This role focuses on developing new customer relationships, expanding existing customer programs, and representing Blue Dolphin’s decorated apparel and promotional capabilities in the market. The position is primarily customer-facing and is supported by internal CSR and production teams to ensure selling time is protected and customer experience standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new customers within assigned territory or markets through outbound calls, visits, referrals, and networking.
- Expand revenue with existing customers through new projects, programs, departments, events, or products (not limited to reorders).
- Conduct customer discovery to understand branding, uniform, promotional, and fulfillment needs; provide consultative recommendations aligned with company capabilities.
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals; collaborate with internal teams as needed for pricing, artwork, and production feasibility.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM activity, opportunity, and pipeline records.
- Represent the company professionally in the field, at customer locations, and at industry or community events.
- Follow up on assigned leads and inquiries generated by marketing, inside sales, or management.
- Participate in sales meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support pilot programs for new capabilities (e.g., DTF, fulfillment) as directed.

Job Requirements
- Education – Associate’s degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
- Experience - 3 to 5 years in Sales or Customer Service in the promotional industry or related industries preferred.
- Adobe Illustrator and Shopworks experience preferred.
- Must travel daily within the assigned sales territory.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must be proficient in M/S: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must work with minimum supervision and have a high capacity to make decisions.
Compensation and other considerations
- Salary: Includes initial base plus commissions.
- Travel allowance, cell phone, computer provided.
