Transaction Advisory Services Leader – public accounting industry
- Location: greater Baltimore, MD area
- Compensation: base salary range $200,000 to $300,000 (commensurate with experience) plus bonus & incentive potential plus benefits

Summary:
The Transaction Advisory Services Leader will be pivotal in identifying opportunities and guiding clients through complex buy / sell-side transaction advisory engagements. This leadership position requires deep financial expertise, strategic acumen, and exceptional relationship building and management to deliver outstanding results for clients and the firm.
Responsibilities – Transaction Advisory Services Leader:
- Lead buy-side / sell-side transaction advisory engagements
- Drive discussions with senior client executives & management
- Manage team members on engagements
- Cultivate relationships with key clients via strategic pitching & business development initiatives
- Review target company financial information and other data to identify historical/projected financial / operating / commercial trends, Quality of earnings, and working capital / net debt considerations / potential liabilities
- Develop operational insights utilizing data & analytics in order analyze the drivers of profitability and evaluate key risks and opportunities of a company
- Draft transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, achievability of management’s budget, operational insights, indebtedness considerations, and post-transaction working capital analysis
- Review financial models including database systems
- Develop professional network and relationships with firm, clients, and target professionals
- Generate & manage pipeline of new business from investment bankers, private equity firms, and other strategic acquirers
Qualifications – Transaction Advisory Services Leader:
- 10 years of public accounting experience with a concentration in mergers & acquisitions
- Ability to build relationships with centers of influence, acquire Transaction Advisory Services business through self-generated efforts, and work with other internal client-facing professionals to identify opportunities.
- Extensive financial modeling, valuation methods, and due diligence experience required
- Proven history of success leading and executing client transactions
- Ability to explain complex, technical concepts to clients and team members
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
