What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Blue Chip Talent?
We're looking for a Project Engineer to lead the design and execution of custom-engineered conveyor and material handling systems.

What You’ll Do:
- Project Leadership: Manage full project lifecycle—from planning and development to execution—ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and up to spec.
- System Design & Development: Design and integrate conveyor and material handling systems in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Technical Oversight: Provide direction and mentorship to engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Client Communication: Serve as the point of contact, keeping stakeholders informed throughout each project phase.
- Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks, conduct reviews, and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure top-tier outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain project documentation including CAD models, technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Product Innovation: Contribute to new product development, from ideation through to prototyping and production integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing, and project managers to deliver turnkey solutions.
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field, with 3–5 years of experience in engineered systems or industrial sectors.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, and control systems
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of industry safety and quality standards
- Proven experience managing customer-facing projects
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with simulation software for material flow analysis
- Familiarity with ISO Standards, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Systems
- PMP, PE, or other industry certifications
