Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental Compliance Coordinator at our Brenham, TX manufacturing plant, to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company standards. This role will focus on managing compliance programs related to air, water, waste, fuel, and spill control, as well as handling reporting and permitting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Air Quality Compliance: Monitor emissions, maintain records, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local air quality regulations.
- Water Management: Oversee stormwater and wastewater programs, sampling, and reporting to regulatory agencies.
- Waste Management: Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, maintain manifests, and ensure proper handling and storage.
- Spill Prevention & Response: Develop and implement spill prevention plans, conduct training, and manage incident reporting.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit environmental reports (e.g., Tier II, TRI, air emissions, water discharge) accurately and on time.
- Permitting: Manage environmental permits, renewals, and applications for air, water, and waste programs.
- Audits & Inspections: Support internal and external audits, maintain compliance documentation, and implement corrective actions.
- Training: Provide environmental compliance training to staff and contractors.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, state agencies).
- Experience with environmental reporting and permitting processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID’s.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions.
