Blue Apple Productions
East Rochester, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 3/24/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/14/2026

Want a Job That’s Actually Exciting? Welcome to the Big Leagues of Fun.
Join Blue Apple Productions – Where Problem Solvers Thrive and No Two Days Are Alike!

Sick of staring at a screen all day?
Tired of the same predictable routine, week after week?
Dreaming of a job where you're on your feet, thinking fast, and actually doing things?

This is that job.

We’re Blue Apple Productions, Rochester’s leading event entertainment company — and we don’t just put on events, we bring the energy, the action, and the wow. From bounce houses and dunk tanks to mechanical bulls, obstacle courses, and zip lines, we deliver unforgettable experiences for our clients — and we have a blast doing it.

We’re currently on the hunt for an Dynamic Event Leader — a hands-on, quick-thinking, high-energy person who’s ready to lead, adapt, and dive headfirst into the action.

What This Role Is Really Like

This isn’t a sit-back-and-supervise kind of job. As Captain, you're out there doing the work — lifting, loading, climbing, setting up, troubleshooting, and making sure every event goes off without a hitch. You're the kind of person who thrives when things get a little chaotic and takes pride in figuring it out on the fly.

This role demands:

  • Physical stamina (you’ll be moving very heavy equipment regularly)
  • Long, active days (especially during our busy season)
  • A flexible mindset and availability (our schedule shifts week to week, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights)
  • The ability to adapt quickly and solve problems fast when things don’t go according to plan (because sometimes, they don’t)

If you love solving puzzles under pressure and being the one others count on to make it work — this is your playground.

What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers)

As an Event Leader, you’re the heart of our events — setting the vibe, managing the gear, and ensuring everything runs like a dream. You'll:

  • Lead event setup and teardown — and be hands-on with every piece of equipment
  • Supervise part-time staff and serve as the on-site leader
  • Think fast and adapt on the go when plans change or challenges pop up
  • Ensure equipment is prepped, packed, and operating safely
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and guests of all ages
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and prep space
  • Load and unload trucks, sometimes solo, sometimes with a crew
  • Act as a company ambassador — professional, friendly, and dependable

Skills That Make You a Rockstar…

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, can-do attitude under pressure
  • A willingness to get your hands dirty — this is real work, not just coordination from behind the scenes
  • High physical endurance — this is a job where you’ll be moving, lifting, climbing, sweating
  • The ability to lead, follow through, and make fast decisions when it counts
  • A passion for creating unforgettable experiences for others

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED (college degree is a plus!)
  • Valid driver’s license (you’ll be driving trucks!)
  • Availability on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to move very heavy equipment and stay active for long stretches
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Flexibility — your weekly schedule will change depending on events

Perks & Schedule:

  • Consistent full-time, year-round work
  • Paid Time Off, 401k w/ Company Match, Health, Dental
  • Travel perks for overnight events (hotel food covered)
  • A fun, supportive team that values hard work and good vibes
  • The satisfaction of doing work that’s real, rewarding, and never boring
