Mid-level Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements, system architecture, and system specifications to support effective solutions.
• Assist in designing, developing, integrating, and implementing complex hardware, software, and network components.
• Support system modeling, simulation, and analysis activities to evaluate performance and integration.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues across diverse domains such as networking, storage, and computing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the system lifecycle—from design and implementation to operation and maintenance.
• Support risk assessments and propose strategies for risk mitigation to enhance system security and stability.
• Ensure systems adhere to applicable standards and compliance requirements, including federal cybersecurity guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts and principles.
• Experience with system analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Familiarity with hardware, software, and network components within complex IT environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and communicate technical information effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks such as FISMA, HHS, or DHS CISA guidelines.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, or Cisco CCNA.
• Prior experience supporting enterprise-level cybersecurity operations.
