Blu Omega is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to deliver advanced analytical solutions and actionable insights that drive mission success. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects supporting national security objectives, leveraging data science, AI/ML, and visualization tools to transform complex data into strategic outcomes.
In this role, you’ll work on-site, side by side a talented team of professionals, ensuring the workforce training and development of our DOD customer.
This role requires an active Secret Clearance, at minimum.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical efforts and provide high-quality insights to support strategic objectives.
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, model development, and evaluation to identify actionable insights.
- Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences in clear, concise language.
- Establish advanced analysis and visualization methodologies using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Identify and process raw data, trends, and assessments to aggregate disparate information sources.
- Develop and refine AI/ML models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
- Apply data science techniques using Python or similar libraries for data cleaning, EDA, statistical analysis, and visualization in an Agile environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA five days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in analytics, data visualization, and data science (including algorithm development and NLP).
- Proficiency in advanced analytics tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world problems, including rapid prototyping and MVP development.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
- Familiarity with DoD AI landscape, policies, and security requirements.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of AI solutions, including deployment and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Palantir, dashboarding tools, and process automation (e.g., Power Automate).
- Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with data engineering, ETL processes, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles for data visualization and human-centered design.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools like Databricks MLFlow and DevOps practices for machine learning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
