Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Hookah Lounge Hookah Makers to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality hookahs in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards. Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble hookahs according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas in compliance with health standards
- Handle food safety procedures during preparation and service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with their selections and answering questions about products
- Upsell additional items or upgrades to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure all tools are properly maintained for optimal performance
- Assist with general restaurant duties such as bussing tables, cleaning, and supporting kitchen staff when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations
- Experience working in a café, quick service restaurant, or grocery store is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is beneficial but not mandatory
