YOUR ROLE
As an Assistant Project Manager with Blount Builds, you’ll take part in the entire building process — from estimating and scheduling to client communication and site management. You’ll work closely with a Senior Project Manager, homeowners, designers, and subcontractors to ensure every project is delivered with excellence.
A typical week might include:
- Visiting multiple job sites, overseeing all aspects of custom home and renovation projects — budgets, schedules, problem solving, quality control and more.
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers to maintain our high standards of craftsmanship
- Leading site meetings and ensuring safety and organization on every project
- Tracking progress, solving challenges, and keeping communication clear and proactive
- Take initiative to communicate with homeowners with positivity and professionalism
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field; or, 2 years of hands-on experience working in residential construction or related field
- Obtains basic computer skills (Email etiquette, Microsoft Word and Excel) and experience or ability to learn new project management softwares. (Buildertrend or similar tools)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills – previous customer service experience is a plus!
- Must have reliable transportation, pick-up truck is a plus
- Ability to independently lift 50 lbs
- Ability to establish good working relationships with a variety of people and personalities—, including management, designers, sales, trades, vendors & customers. Should be able to build rapport and maintain customer satisfaction during the construction process
- Leads with kindness, patience and morality
- Attention to detail paired with a passion for building
- Manages time effectively, can multi-task & prioritize in order to meet established goals & deadlines
- Ability to be flexible & work well under pressure when faced with unexpected situations or delays
- Knowledge of construction practices and terminology. Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents; or, eager to learn!
Salary : $25 - $30
