Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support clients with personal transportation needs for appointments or community engagement
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is preferred
- Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of distress or deterioration
- Experience with medication administration, first aid, CPR certification required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy is maintained at all times
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within healthcare settings
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with patient transfers using proper techniques, and manual handling tasks
