Job Overview
We are a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) with 6 elderly residents In a home like setting seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, mobility support, and meal assistance while ensuring dignity and safety at all times. Duties also include light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, maintaining a clean environment, completing documentation, observing and reporting changes in resident condition, and following all Title 22 regulations and facility policies. Caregivers will assist with medication reminders (per RCFE guidelines), communicate effectively with residents, families, hospice, and staff, and participate in emergency procedures when needed. Candidates must be at least 18, able to pass a LiveScan background check, have a recent TB test and Health Screening, and carry current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it. Preferred applicants have experience in senior care, dementia care, hospice support, or RCFE settings. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in health status
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Support patients with mobility challenges or disabilities to promote independence
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams regarding patient needs and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and patient responses
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control procedures
Experience
Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in an RCFE, assisted living, home-care, or similar senior-care setting and be comfortable supporting residents with varying levels of need, including those who are non-ambulatory or receiving hospice services. Experience with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance is highly valued, along with familiarity in observing and reporting changes in condition. Candidates with training in dementia care, medication assistance (per Title 22), oxygen safety, fall prevention, or end-of-life comfort care are strongly preferred. However, we are also open to applicants with no prior RCFE experience who have a genuine passion for working with seniors and are willing to learn—training will be provided for the right individual.
