What are the responsibilities and job description for the EL Student Advocate position at Bloomington Public Schools?
- Experience working with high school students in and out of the classroom
- Must have experience with conflict resolution
- Must be professional and possess a flexible attitude
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with students and families
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Provide academic support to the EL programs, teachers and students.
- Working with a large, diverse population
- Assist students in goal setting and academic planning
- Promote positive partnerships between students, families and staff
- Ensure a positive learning environment for all students
- Engage in Restorative Practice with students
