Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in an outpatient setting, conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in managing various psychiatric conditions and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Perform specimen collection processing and manage laboratory requests as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in medical imaging procedures when necessary to support diagnostic efforts.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the medical office system.

Experience

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health is required.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, particularly in psychiatric care.
• Familiarity with laboratory processes, specimen collection, and processing is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour
