Bloomingdale Day Care is a Grow NJ Kids (GNJK) center focused on nurturing relationships, meaningful child interactions, and a positive, team-oriented work environment. We are looking for motivated, caring individuals who are interested in starting or growing a career in early childhood education.
No prior experience is required. We are happy to train the right candidate and provide hands-on support as you learn.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working with children of different ages. You will support multiple classrooms (infant through preschool), gain experience across age groups, and learn the foundations of early childhood education.
Specific classroom placement will be discussed during the interview process.

- Full-Time Classroom Support Teacher / Assistant Teacher
- Part-Time Assistant Teacher (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Responsibilities
- Support classrooms from infant through preschool as needed
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and toileting
- Participate in learning activities and classroom routines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with staff and families
- Complete daily reports and attendance

Requirements
Assistant Teacher:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No experience required; training provided
Head Teacher (if applicable):
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field; OR CDA; OR ECE credits with a study plan
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children ages 0–5
Pay is based on position and qualifications.
