General Job Description:

The Special Education Teacher will provide guidance and instructional experiences that are academically and developmentally appropriate for each student assigned to that classroom.  Will work in partnership with parents, students, and regular education teachers in accordance with Bloomfield School's mission and vision in order to promote student achievement. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Valid New Mexico Special Education License

TESOL endorsement preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving light furniture may be required.

   8. The teacher demonstrates a willingness to examine and implement change as appropriate.
   9. The teacher works productively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
   10. The teacher follows board policies and administrative rules and regulations.
