What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at Bloom OB/GYN?
Bloom Ob/Gyn is a vibrant medical practice in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. in search of an individual for the position of Office Manager. We are 6 providers - 4 Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners - who provide the full complement of Ob/Gyn services to women of all ages in the DMV area. An ideal candidate for this position has medical office management experience, but a passion for women's healthcare and the ability to work well with all members of a team speaks volumes to an individuals ability to succeed in this role. While the following is fairly comprehensive list of duties of the Office Manager, there may be responsibilities which are not listed:
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize office activities
- Oversee front desk personnel and medical assistant schedules, including PTO
- Develop an understanding of practice finances, including billing and collections and all financial agreements
- Oversee billing operations
- Handle human resources, including hiring, training, annual employee reviews, staff leave authorizations and tracking accruals, OSHA and Department of Labor and District of Columbia compliance
- Monitor provider schedules to ensure appropriate staff coverage
- Serve as a liaison with all consultants and vendors
- Track maintenance schedules for all office equipment in both the administrative and clinical areas, including repair and regular maintenance
- Track all provider licenses, certifications, hospital/payor credentialing and ire-credentialing
- Manage office aesthetic
- Handle marketing functions, including website maintenance, social media accounts and outside referral management
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis
Qualifications
- Experience with medical office administration preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask
- Friendly and upbeat demeanor
- Familiarity with Athena electronic medical records preferred, but not mandatory
