We’re Bloom Kitchens, a female-owned and operated design/build company specializing in kitchen and bath remodels along with flooring, fireplaces, staircases, interior painting, custom carpentry and more.
Our all-women team brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and heart. Between our remodeling company and our cabinet painting division, we complete over 100 projects each year. Assistant Project Manager
As an Assistant Project Manager (APM) at Bloom, you will support the day-to-day progress of our construction and remodel projects. This role is hands-on and essential. You will help keep projects moving smoothly by visiting job sites, coordinating with installers, supporting administrative tasks, and assisting with client communication.
This position is designed with growth in mind. The APM will gradually take on more ownership of project oversight, with the intention of eventually stepping into a full Project Manager role.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to learn the ins and outs of project management in a fast-paced design/build environment. You enjoy being on your feet, jumping in where needed, and helping bring beautiful designs to life.
KEY RESONPSIBILITIES
Site Support & Project Coordination
- Visit active job sites to check progress, document updates, and support quality control.
- Attend appliance deliveries/installs, subcontractor walk-throughs, and site meetings as needed.
- Assist in coordinating schedules between trades, vendors, and internal team members.
- Communicate any on-site issues, delays, or needs to the Project Manager promptly.
- Help ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and aligned with project expectations.
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized project documentation, logs, and checklists.
- Assist with tracking materials.
- Help manage internal systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Buildertrend, etc.).
- Support the Project Manager in preparing estimates, tracking budgets, and updating change orders.
Client Communication & Reporting
- Support the Project Manager by drafting and sending clear, timely project updates.
- Communicate upcoming work, timelines, and any changes with accuracy and care.
- Assist in preparing for client walkthroughs, punch lists, and on-site meetings.
- Respond to new information quickly and help problem-solve in real time.
- Strengthen client trust through clear communication and dependable support.
Learning & Growth
- Shadow the Project Manager to learn Bloom’s systems, processes, and approach.
- Gradually take on more responsibilities as experience and confidence grow.
- Work toward independently managing small projects, and over time transitioning into a full PM role.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in technological system s

- Buildertrend (preferred, not required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent mathematical & reasoning skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude and willingness to jump in and problem-solve
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job site visits
- Physically able to occasionally lift 40-50lbs.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
- A starting salary of $32,000-$42,000/yearbased on experience and weekly hours (30-40 hours preferred)
- Part time or full time available
