We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook/Expeditor to join our BBQ culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards, maintaining consistency and freshness.
- Expedite food orders by coordinating between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in food handling, plating, and presentation to uphold aesthetic appeal.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay order details and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure all food preparation and service complies with health regulations and safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, particularly in food preparation or expediting roles.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy service periods.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality training is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
We are a small team that is enthusiastic and dedicated to making the best BBQ and delivering a memorable customer experience. Applicant must be a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Some kitchen and cooking experience is preferred, but not required.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
