Non-Cocoa Procurement Analyst

The Non-Cocoa Procurement Analyst supports procurement operations for the broad Non-Cocoa commodities department and manages a $40M raw material / ingredient portfolio. The role ensures accurate contract data, smooth logistics coordination, and price / market analysis support. Robust collaboration with Management, Finance, Middle Office, plant buyers, R&D and QA is vital. This position is designed for candidates seeking to build a career in commodities, procurement, &/or supply chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Non-Cocoa Raw Material Purchase Contract Creation & Systems Entry (10 hours/week)

• Enter, update, and maintain non-cocoa raw material contracts in the iRely system
• Perform weekly contract reconciliation with factory operations
• Ensure accuracy of contract data for real-time tracking
• Update & maintain commodity position reports & purchase records
• Coordinate contract and position information with the Middle Office
• Support data consistency across systems, build personal SAP knowledge base & skills

New Procurement & Efficiency Projects (10 hours/wee

• k)Confirm consistency between the physical inventory and the system inventory
• Support direct import initiatives to CAM plant and Slurry transfer projects as tariff countermeasures
• Optimize Non-Cocoa raw material position management through collaboration with Middle Office
• Input and analyze tariff data for price and risk forecasting

Raw Material Pricing Support for Sales (10 hours/week)

• Monitor commodity market pricing and price trends
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through raw material pricing and tariff analyses
• Prepare market updates and presentation materials for dissemination to Sales & Management

Logistics & Delivery Support (5 hours/week)

• Support logistics during transitions to FOB / Ex-Works purchasing
• Assist with origin sourcing flows of fats/oils (Malaysia, Indonesia, India, EU) & Functional Ingredients (globally)
• Logistics & pricing support for domestic take-back contracts using domestic sugar, fats, dairy & other raw materials

Functional Ingredient Purchasing (5 hours/week)

• Contribute to management of a $40M non-cocoa spend portfolio
• Analyze raw material optimization opportunities for the category
• Assist R&D and QA with raw material set up, testing and approval

General Procurement Support (variable/week)

• Extensive support as a utility resource for the Non-Cocoa team
• Communicate with vendors and factory buyers
• Support smooth and robust cross-department operations

• General office environment with majority of time using computer; prolonged periods of sitting

Requires Infrequent Travel (10-20%)

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years' experience in manufacturing procurement with working knowledge base of supply chain and purchasing strategies
• Hedging strategies; leadership and management skills; public speaking; problem solving; verbal and written communication
• Understand economic & technical issues with the ability to perform independent value analysis
• Highly organized, detail orientated, ability to handle multiple activities with strong time-management capacity and ability to adapt to changing situations quickly
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint & Word

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.

Salary Range $75,000-$85,000
