Job Description Summary:

The Application Administrator I will provide support in maintaining and improving the software systems that drive business operations. The position work closely with internal IT and business team members to understand and support the processes by which applications are utilized, provide application support, and ensure systems are aligned with business needs along with appropriate security measures. Other duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions and Job Duties:

  • Test and maintain applications including patching and upgrade activities.
  • Follow appropriate change control processes, including proactive communication to impacted user community and associated business processes.
  • Engage with 3rd party resources, as appropriate, in the execution of support activities. 
  • Review and analyze application logs, taking appropriate action in a proactive approach.
  • Register, maintain, and audit application registrations.
  • Execute monitoring, analysis, and remediation of system functions.
  • Ensure license compliance of software applications.
  • Provide insight and expertise in IT meetings with suggestions and advice.
  • Participate with business stakeholders in creating user training and ongoing user testing to demonstrate application competency at a user level.  
  • Member of Application Support Team providing immediate services to Block team members, including research and documentation of customer support, determining priorities and work order completion.
  • Member of on-call rotation for afterhours support and escalation point for 3rd party services; including monitoring of system alerts in support of proactive services.  
  • Promote and adhere to ITIL methodologies related to the intake, on-boarding, and long-term lifecycle support of IT services. 
  • Maintain SOPs/WIs related to application administration, along with documentation and maintenance of associated systems. 
  • Follow standardized processes related to the activities of application administration.
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders in development of solutions both virtually and in-person as required. 
  • Travel to conference and Block Imaging facilities.
  • Assure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken to reduce the risk of injury 
  • Once employee demonstrates competency in position, admin is required to train others in similar roles.
  • Advise and perform other duties as assigned.

Education or Relevant Experience:

  • Education: Associates Degree preferred
  • Experience: 3 years of experience working within an ERP System, 1 or more years of experience with data privacy and associated compliance
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certification
