Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on property titles using various sources, including public records, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and law office databases to verify ownership history and identify potential issues.
- Review and interpret legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as deeds, liens, encumbrances, and easements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Process title requests efficiently by preparing necessary documentation, updating records accurately, and coordinating with law offices and other stakeholders.
- Utilize GIS tools to analyze property boundaries, land features, and geographic data to support title verification and resolution of discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, attorneys, and internal teams to provide updates, clarify requirements, and resolve any title-related concerns promptly.
- Maintain meticulous records of all title searches, correspondence, and processing steps in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
- Assist in resolving complex title issues by conducting detailed research and collaborating with legal professionals when necessary.
- Support the team by providing excellent customer service through clear communication and proactive problem-solving throughout the title process.
Experience
- Proven experience working within a law office specializing in real estate or title processing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law principles related to property ownership, liens, easements, and legal documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research using public records systems, GIS software, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with title processing procedures from initial inquiry through final approval.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
