Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling stations to uphold food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining high-quality beverage preparation.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation is essential.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions.
• Proven ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately with basic math skills for cash handling and change calculation.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests.
• Experience in food handling, cleaning routines, and maintaining a safe environment aligned with food safety standards.
• Time management skills that enable you to multitask effectively during high-volume periods while delivering consistent quality.
