What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager - PT position at Blessings Abound?
Blessings Abound is a local nonprofit thrift organization dedicated to making a positive difference in our community. Through the generous support of our donors, shoppers, volunteers, and employees, we give donated items a second life while generating funds that support local charitable organizations and community needs.
Our stores are busy, team-oriented environments where employees work together to provide great customer service, process donations, and keep quality, affordable merchandise available to our customers. We value teamwork, respect, dependability, and people who enjoy contributing to a mission that goes beyond the workday.
Blessings Abound, a faith-based nonprofit thrift organization serving the Kansas City community, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to provide HR leadership and support across our organization.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working independently, partnering closely with managers, and helping a growing nonprofit maintain fair, consistent and practical employment practices.
The HR Manager will serve as the organization's primary HR resource and advisor. The position requires someone comfortable handling both day-to-day employee matters and higher-level HR issues, while remaining approachable and connected to employees and managers throughout the organization.
This is a part-time position designed for an experienced HR professional who can provide strong HR leadership without requiring a traditional 40-hour workweek.
The Right Fit
The successful candidate will be practical, approachable and comfortable working in an organization where HR is highly visible and hands-on.
We are looking for someone who can balance compassion with accountability, understand that every employee situation is different while still applying policies consistently, and confidently advise leadership when an HR concern requires attention.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being a trusted HR resource rather than managing a large HR department.
