Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, using specialized techniques to promote comfort and safety
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely during patient transfers
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning routines to promote hygiene and infection control standards
- Document care plans, patient progress, and incidents meticulously to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, or family members to develop comprehensive care strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members
- Demonstrated understanding of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the well-being of others
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
