JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Administrative Assistant provides critical administrative support to the manufacturing team, with primary responsibility for processing and troubleshooting work orders. This position also supports production labeling, recordkeeping, and general clerical tasks to help ensure efficient plant operations. Work is performed under the general supervision and guidance of the President, Senior Management, and Manufacturing Management, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work Order Management: Accurately enter work orders into the system; review and troubleshoot errors; maintain organized electronic and paper records.
  • Production Labeling: Generate, print, and distribute daily production labels; create and update new label templates as required.
  • Data & Records Maintenance: File, organize, and maintain production documents; support reporting needs for manufacturing management.
  • Customer Service Support: Provide backup coverage for incoming phone calls; respond to and route email communications in a professional and timely manner.
  • General Administrative Support: Assist with project-based tasks, prepare correspondence, and perform other clerical duties to support the manufacturing team.

o Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

o Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language

o Ability to communicate assertively and effectively with staff at all levels

o High attention to numerical and inventory detail

o Basic math skills, including the ability to add and subtract numbers up to the hundreds and hundredths place accurately

o Fast and accurate typing skills, including proficient 10-key data entry

o Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will work in an office setting typical of a manufacturing environment. The employee occasionally works in moderate to loud environments with exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
