What you will do
- Collect and analyzes samples according to the Sample Plan, following lab procedures to ensure accuracy and safety, and identifies high-risk sampling points where enhanced PPE is required
- Log and interpret readings from meters, gauges, charts, and instruments to monitor operational accuracy and detect deviations from expected performance.
- Responsible for monitoring, transferring, mixing, sampling, and analyzing chemical inventory to maintain plant operations
- Monitor the distributed control system (DCS) to optimize, verify and control production by making necessary adjustments to tank levels, pumps, agitators, valves and other process equipment
- Operate, inspect, and control plant equipment within SOPs and SOCLs following calibration procedures for reagents and equipment as per specifications to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Troubleshoot and repairs plant equipment
- Start-up and Shut down plant operations
Candidates will have
- Ability to carry out basic mathematical operations
- Understanding of units, including the use of weight, volume, specific gravity, pressure and concentration
- 3 years in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment
- 1 years in a chlor alkali environment
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of safety regulations and plant procedures
Chemical Operators hours are either 6am-6pm or 6am-6pm. 4 days on 4 days off, including weekend and holidays. We have both day and night shift openings available.
