An exciting opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) supporting multiple school districts within Washington County, PA. This full-time role involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing specialized instruction and services to visually impaired students to help them achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across multiple districts
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly
- Travel between various school sites within Washington County to provide direct services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations
- Stay current with best practices and advances in visual impairment education
Qualifications:
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
- Comfortable managing a dynamic caseload across multiple locations with travel demands
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Location:Washington County, PA onsite with travel between districts required.
