This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate paraprofessionals ready to work in a vibrant learning environment from July 7th through July 30th, following orientation on July 6th. This position features a Monday through Thursday schedule, 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM—perfect for those seeking a consistent routine with afternoons free.
Bring your expertise as a fully onboarded paraprofessional to either work 1:1 with students or support a general special education classroom. As a valued part of this ESY program, you'll play a hands-on role in promoting students’ growth and success throughout the extended school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings, especially with SPED or ESY programs
- Positive, recent professional references required for contract consideration
- PMT (Physical Management Training) certification is a plus
- Willingness to complete all mandatory trainings during onboarding (including DCF, prevention of sexual misconduct against children, and trafficking awareness)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and staff
- Dedication to maintaining a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive support to students in 1:1 or small group settings
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral strategies
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
- Participate in required trainings and ongoing professional development
