Teacher's Aide - Liberty, Missouri

Minimum 1 years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking a skilled paraprofessional to support a 1:1 caseload at an elementary school in Liberty, Missouri. This opportunity runs from April 6th through May 28th, aligning with the school calendar after spring break. The role requires expertise in managing student behaviors, with experience preferred in supporting students who may demonstrate aggression or other challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a student at Greenway Elementary from 8:30 AM to 3:55 PM
• Support behavioral interventions in collaboration with school staff, using MANDT or CPI techniques
• Assist with personal care, including toileting, as needed with sensitivity and respect
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment to promote student growth and development

Qualifications:

• Active paraprofessional certification or an equivalent substitute certification recognized by the state
• Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges, preferably in a school setting
• Completion or willingness to complete MANDT or CPI training (preferred)
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and comply with district policies regarding fingerprinting and clearances
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators and families
