Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful role serving students in a supportive educational environment for the 2026-2027 academic year! We’re searching for a dedicated professional with expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), ready to provide tailored educational services onsite. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to leverage your specialized skills and make a difference for a caseload of approximately eight students, ensuring their unique learning needs are met.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State TVI Certification is required
  • Must have completed fingerprint clearance through OSPI
  • Solid experience supporting students with visual impairments in a school setting
  • Clear communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to working onsite as part of a collaborative special education team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction based on student IEPs and service plans (approximately 15 hours per week, meeting weekly, monthly, and quarterly service minutes)
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to promote inclusive access to the core curriculum
  • Develop and implement adapted instructional materials and technology for visually impaired students
  • Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and maintain thorough records in compliance with district policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide staff training as needed
