Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Fayetteville, North Carolina

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
• Experience or familiarity with instructional strategies and adaptive technology for students with visual impairments
• Ability to conduct both formal and informal assessments to monitor student achievement and progress
• Previous experience supporting a K-12 population preferred
• Effective communicator (written and verbal) with staff, families, and administration
• Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with visual impairments
• Develop and adapt teaching methods to meet district guidelines and student IEP goals
• Collaborate with educational teams and participate in ARD meetings, presenting evaluation data and individualized plans
• Document ongoing progress and maintain compliance records
• Stay current with best practices in visual impairment education

This contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, Monday through Friday, with a standard full-time schedule (37.5 hours weekly). Three openings are available for dedicated professionals ready to make a real difference.
