A full-time speech-language pathologist opportunity is available with a contract position in the Hartford, CT area, split between two elementary schools. This role offers a dynamic educational setting serving a diverse student population within inclusive classrooms, accommodating a variety of disability categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs.
- Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive educational strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with ASHA Certification (CCC) is required; consideration given to certified Fellows (CF).
- Active and valid Connecticut license to practice as an SLP.
- Proven school-based experience working with children across multiple disability categories in inclusive settings.
- Compliance with district fingerprinting and background check requirements.
- Ability to work onsite for 35 hours per week with school hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative professional demeanor.
- Zoom interview required as part of the hiring process.
