Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional for a local district, conveniently located near Aurora, CO. This assignment runs from now through late May of 2027, providing both stability and the chance to make a significant impact in a school community. Flexibility is essential, as your placement may include working at various school sites and with different age groups as needs arise. The role will primarily support elementary students, with a schedule totaling 36.25 hours weekly.

Key Qualifications:

• At least one full year of experience in Special Education (SPED) classrooms is required
• Experience working with significant/severe caseloads is strongly preferred
• Must provide two completed professional RefAssured references upon application; candidates without these references cannot be considered
• Immediate post-offer fingerprinting is mandatory; any misdemeanor or felony charges will lead to disqualification
• Must have reliable personal transportation (rideshare, public transit, or taxi services do not meet requirements)
• Ability to report by 7:40am for elementary or 8:00am for middle/high school assignments

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom assistance and instructional support to students with diverse needs, including those with significant disabilities
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment through patience and empathy
• Adapt to changing site placements or age group assignments as directed
• Support students with daily needs, including assisting with toileting and diapering when necessary
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to deliver student-centered care
