Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as an LVN in a dynamic school environment. Three onsite roles are available, each focusing on student health and well-being from August 2026 through June 2027 (38-40 hours per week). These roles require skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses ready to make a difference each day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active LVN/LPN license required
- Ventilator experience and current certification (mandatory for 1:1 position)
- Strong background in pediatric nursing, especially within school settings
- Proficient in trach, NG tube, G-tube, oxygen therapy, diabetic care, and seizure protocols
- Comfortable providing hands-on care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Capable of maintaining vigilance and providing continuous care for ambulatory students with complex needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Position 1: Deliver 1:1 care for a kindergarten student with trach/vent requirements, including monitoring ventilator/NG tube, engaging in all daily mobility, and accompanying the student on the school bus (7:45am-4:00pm; waived lunch).
- Positions 2 & 3: Provide general LVN support for students in grades TK-6, performing specialized procedures such as G-tube, trach and oxygen administration, seizure precaution management, and diabetic care. Collaborate closely with school staff and nursing colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care (Position 2: 7:30am–4:00pm; Position 3: 8:00am–4:30pm; 30-minute lunches).
- All roles: Practice with empathy, discretion, and confidentiality, ensuring safety and comfort for students with medical needs throughout the school day.
