School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Lakewood, Washington

Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting middle school students for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 23, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week. You'll collaborate closely with a remote SLP and deliver hands-on services to a caseload of approximately 35–40 middle school students.

Your role is key in ensuring that speech and language goals are met, providing direct interventions, and supporting student communication needs within an engaging school environment near Lakewood, WA. Qualifications & Experience:

• Washington SLPA licensure required, or willingness to obtain WA licensure and complete OSPI fingerprinting
• Experience working with middle school students preferred but not mandatory—eager candidates familiar with this age group are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work collaboratively with a virtual supervising SLP
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language support services under the supervision of a virtual SLP
• Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals for middle school students
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Participate in virtual meetings, planning, and ongoing training as needed
