This full-time assignment, Monday through Friday, averages 35-37.5 hours weekly. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for 1:1 student-specific care, accompanying a male high school student throughout his entire school day—including transportation to and from school.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Previous school nursing experience preferred
- Skills in 1:1 nursing care strongly desired
- Proficient in administering emergency seizure medication (training available if needed)
- Comfortable assisting with all personal care and hygiene needs
- Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to individualized healthcare plans
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, supportive 1:1 nursing care during the full school day
- Accompany and oversee the student during daily transportation to and from school on the bus
- Assist with all personal care and hygiene routines as needed
- Administer emergency seizure medication and monitor student’s health status (note: seizure incidents are infrequent)
- Collaborate with educational staff and family to promote a safe, effective, and positive school experience
- Maintain accurate and confidential nursing documentation
