Qualifications & Experience
- Active New Hampshire OPLC Physical Therapist Assistant License required
- Successful completion of the NPTE-PTA exam
- Experience in pediatric physical therapy or prior work in a school setting preferred
- Ability to develop rapport with students, parents, and guardians
- Strong communication skills and adaptability with scheduling
- Commitment to confidentiality and maintaining accurate documentation
- Effective collaboration as part of an interdisciplinary student support team
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specially-designed instruction and assist with implementing physical therapy goals from students’ IEPs
- Coordinate with school personnel and families to arrange convenient service times during afternoons, evenings, or weekends
- Deliver therapy sessions either on-site or virtually, tailored to each student’s needs
- Track progress, document sessions, and communicate with guardians regarding improvements and recommendations
