Support a high school senior in a dynamic, contract-based paraprofessional role requiring immediate availability. Based near Salem, NH, this position offers the opportunity to provide essential academic and emotional guidance to a friendly, high school-age student. You’ll begin each day at the base location, traveling with the student to various learning settings and internship sites, ensuring a consistent and reassuring presence throughout the week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Prior paraprofessional experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Patience and adaptability working with students who may be resistant to support
• Ability to provide both academic assistance (especially in History) and standby emotional guidance
• Punctuality and reliability, including readiness for district-provided Vector training and strict adherence to transit schedules
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily in-person standby emotional and academic support to a high school senior
• Travel with the student via district bus between schools, ensuring safe and timely transit
• Help with coursework completion, primarily History, in an academic setting
• Offer companionship and vigilance during a weekly off-campus internship at a car detailing facility
• Adapt tasks on Fridays as needed—either shadowing the student or assisting with flexible assignments at the base location
