Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or a related field) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years’ experience providing occupational therapy services, including at least three years in a school setting.
- Valid state license to practice as an occupational therapist and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding privacy, student care, and protection.
- Proven ability to make effective referrals to colleagues, agencies, and external organizations as student needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-8 students, supporting developmental and educational goals.
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and relevant agencies to craft and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Maintain precise records, adhering to privacy and care protection laws.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, fostering supportive and inclusive school environments.
- Offer recommendations and resources to further student success across multiple campuses.
