Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-8 students throughout the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated occupational therapist. You'll be based across two vibrant campuses in Chicago, collaborating with school teams to empower children for success.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or a related field) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years’ experience providing occupational therapy services, including at least three years in a school setting.
• Valid state license to practice as an occupational therapist and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding privacy, student care, and protection.
• Proven ability to make effective referrals to colleagues, agencies, and external organizations as student needs arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-8 students, supporting developmental and educational goals.
• Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and relevant agencies to craft and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Maintain precise records, adhering to privacy and care protection laws.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, fostering supportive and inclusive school environments.
• Offer recommendations and resources to further student success across multiple campuses.

This full-time role follows the academic calendar, with tentative dates from July 20, 2026, to June 11, 2027. Contribute to a network committed to transformational change and educational equity.
