The role requires a commitment from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with standard school hours totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Experience interpreting in school or educational settings, especially with special education students
- Capacity to provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation in real-time
- Sensitivity and adaptability to the needs of students with physical or communication-related challenges
- Commitment to working onsite, with no virtual or remote options
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between a high school student and school staff using American Sign Language (ASL)
- Provide compensatory services to meet the student’s personalized educational goals
- Adapt sign language interpretation for an adaptive classroom environment
