Patent Agent/Patent Attorney (Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science)

Blank Rome LLP has an opening for a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least 2-4 years of experience to support the Firm's patent prosecution practice, leveraging technical expertise to assist the Firm's clients in protecting their technology with patents. Candidates can be based out of our Houston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, or Washington, D.C. offices. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. The Patent Agent or Patent Attorney will draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Candidates must be registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, or be Patent Bar eligible, and if appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state. Candidates must have strong time management skills and be able to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments coming from multiple partners and clients. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The target annual pay range for this role in Chicago, IL, New York City and Washington, D.C. is $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonuses based on performance. Positions outside of Chicago, IL, New York City and Washington, D.C. will be subject to annual pay ranges specific to the market for that particular geographic location. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The compensation range listed is just one component of Blank Rome’s total compensation package for employees.
