Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match colors according to specifications or color theory principles.
- Perform drywall repairs and finishing to ensure smooth surfaces prior to painting.
- Execute concrete finishing tasks as required for specific projects.
- Collaborate with carpenters on trim carpentry projects to enhance the overall aesthetic of spaces.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter with a portfolio of completed projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint quantities.
- Familiarity with drywall techniques and the ability to perform repairs effectively.
- Knowledge of color theory and the ability to mix paints accurately.
- Experience with concrete finishing is a plus.
- Proficiency in airless paint spraying techniques is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with construction teams, including carpenters and other tradespeople.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
