JOB SUMMARY
The Admin. Director LEC Operations is responsible for the overall operation of the Law Enforcement Center, including but not limited to coordinating commissary orders and billing, coordinating weekly food inventory and orders for the jail, and the general budget. The Administrator will provide assistance to Sheriff & Chief Deputy as well as office Lieutenants, create and maintain all purchase orders for all departments, assimilate payroll, conduct various human resource operations, and maintain various records in Central Square.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Maintain annual SO budget spreadsheet; create budget workbook and Court folders
· Process purchase orders: create, track, verify funds, scan, route for approvals, enter into Central Square
· Code, process, scan, and submit invoices; deliver originals to Auditor/Treasurer
· Receipt checks, verify bonds, scan money orders, prepare weekly disbursements
· Reconcile inmate/forfeiture accounts, cash drawers, and weekly inmate deposits
· Manage commissary checks and inmate financial transactions (Tiger, Central Square, NUMI)
· Prepare and mail monthly transport, housing, SRO, and medical invoices
· Collect, review, and submit staff timesheets
· Maintain TCOLE, personnel, department, and time-off records; assist with audits, FMLA verifications
· Update General Orders, new-hire binders, HR packets, and onboarding/exit checklists
· Coordinate IT access, ID cards, and employee records in Central Square
· Assist with hiring process: interviews, paperwork, notarizations, exams, TCOLE licensing, enrollment
· Monitor certificate/shift pay and notify Treasurer of changes
· Create/update housing contracts; coordinate approvals with County Attorney and Commissioner’s Court
· Manage vehicle records, mileage, maintenance, recalls, and inspection compliance
· Coordinate jail inspections, fire extinguisher checks, and required standards compliance
· Manage jail menu planning, dietary approvals, and food cost coordination
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree & additional two years training or experience preferred.
Licenses or Certifications:
Notary License
Special Requirements:
CJIS Less Than Full Access security clearance
Pass a thorough background check
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is light work, which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
