Do you love taking things apart to figure out how they work? Are you the person everyone comes to when something "can't be fixed?" BlairTech is looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to join our growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) team.
This isn't your average computer repair position.
While you'll spend time repairing and refurbishing desktop and laptop computers, you'll also have the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and restore a wide variety of electronics—from gaming systems and networking equipment to audio/video gear, vintage electronics, and other unique devices that come through our facility. Every day brings something different.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop computers.
- Perform motherboard-level diagnostics and identify hardware failures.
- Update and configure BIOS, firmware, and embedded controllers.
- Repair and replace components including memory, storage devices, power supplies, cooling systems, displays, keyboards, and other hardware.
- Test, evaluate, and refurbish electronics for resale.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of consumer and commercial electronics, including vintage equipment.
- Research repair methods for uncommon or legacy devices.
- Perform functional testing and quality assurance to ensure repaired equipment meets company standards.
- Accurately document repairs, testing results, and parts used.
- Work with the team to continuously improve repair processes and maximize product recovery.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of electronics or computer repair experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware.
- Experience performing BIOS and firmware updates.
- Ability to diagnose motherboard and component-level hardware issues.
- Comfortable using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
- Experience with soldering and electronic component replacement is a plus.
- Experience repairing gaming consoles, networking equipment, printers, AV equipment, or vintage electronics is a strong advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar hardware and develop repair solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift
