Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep grounds pristine.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and hand tools, skid steers, excavators safely and efficiently.
- Support planting activities by identifying plants, preparing soil, planting new greenery, and maintaining existing flora.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Help install and repair hardscape features like pathways, retaining walls, or patios under supervision.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties such as debris removal, fertilizing, and seasonal cleanups.
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience or landscaping background preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Bilingual (bonus)
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, plant identification, and horticulture principles.
- Familiarity with the operation of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools and irrigation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues or minor repairs.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently while working with hand tools and power equipment in outdoor environments.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately for plant care and landscape projects.
