Responsibilities
- Operate various cutting tools such as plasma cutters and band saws to accurately cut metal tubing and angle iron according to specific measurements given.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques to join metal components with precision
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tape measures
- Conduct plasma cutting and/or bandsaw as needed for assembly or repair tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to manufacturing, welding operations, and equipment handling
Experience
- Proven manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and shop protocols
- Skilled in MIG welding on various metals including square tubing and angle iron
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings for fabrication purposes is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and hand tools in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately
- Must be reliable and have a good attitude
